Tender Pink & Linen Crochet Earrings with Vintage Buttons

An original pair of handmade textile earrings, designed and created by me using crochet and carefully layered details.

Delicate flowers crocheted in tender pink cotton form the focal point of these earrings, set against an open, textured background made from natural linen yarn. At the centre of each flower sits a beautiful vintage button in warm antique-gold tones with an ivory centre. The buttons add a touch of nostalgia and ornament to the understated natural fibres.

I particularly enjoy incorporating vintage buttons into my designs – giving these small treasures a new life and allowing their history and character to become part of a contemporary piece of jewellery.

The linen crochet forms a sculptural framework around the flowers and continues across the back, where the construction and texture of the handwork can be appreciated. The textile elements are treated for added structure and durability.

Romantic without being overly sweet, these earrings are little pieces of wearable textile art, bringing together old and new.
