Black, Ivory & Gold Long Crochet Earrings with Golden Vintage Buttons

An original pair of handmade statement earrings, designed and created by me using crochet and layered textile elements.

The design plays with contrasts: deep black crochet creates a bold graphic framework, while delicate ivory flowers add intricate, lace-like detail. Metallic viscose yarn brings touches of gold and gentle sparkle to the smaller flowers.

At the centre of each large flower is a golden vintage button, carefully incorporated into the design. I love using vintage buttons in my jewellery – these small found treasures bring their own history and character, making them a natural companion to handmade textile work.

The layered crochet creates depth and a sculptural quality, while the textile elements are treated to give them structure and help maintain their shape when worn.

Bold, decorative and full of detail, these earrings combine crochet, vintage elements and contemporary jewellery design – little pieces of wearable textile art.
